Registration

How To Install Syllabux App.
  1. Go to www.mysyllabux.com to download the Syllabux app for your device (Mobile, Laptop or Desktop).
    Or you may go to Google PlayStore Or Apple AppStore on your device and search for "Syllabux"
  2. Install the app.
  3. After installing Syllabux app on your device, launch the app.
  4. Tap Proceed as a staff of a School. button
  5. Tap Register button to create an account.
  6. Fill all the registration fields and upload a photo of yourself.
  7. Submit the registration form and follow the instructions.
How To Join A School As A Staff.
  1. Launch the Syllabux app on your device or
    visit www.mysyllabux.com and tap login from the menu.
  2. Tap Proceed as a staff of a school., then login with your username and password.
  3. Tap on Join school button.
  4. Enter the code that you received from your school.
  5. Wait for confirmation that you have been Added Successfully.
  6. Your school will be displayed on your Dashboard.

School Setup

How To Create A Campus.
  1. Launch the Syllabux app on your device or
    visit www.mysyllabux.com and tap login from the menu.
  2. Tap Proceed as a staff of a school., then login with your username and password.
  3. Tap on the name of your school to be taken to your schhol menu..
  4. Tap Admin tab
  5. SelectSchool settings Menu.
  6. Tap on Campus settings.
  7. Tap New Campus button
  8. Fill in the Campus Name and Address.
  9. Tap Save button
How To Configure School Settings.
  1. Launch the Syllabux app on your device or
    visit www.mysyllabux.com and tap login from the menu.
  2. Tap Proceed as a staff of a school., then login with your username and password.
  3. Tap on the name of your school to be taken to your schhol menu..
  4. Tap Admin tab
  5. Scroll down to select School Settings Menu Item
  6. You will be taken to the school setting page where you can configure the settings one after the other.
How To Control Staff Access.
  1. Launch the Syllabux app on your device or
    visit www.mysyllabux.com and tap login from the menu.
  2. Tap Proceed as a staff of a school., then login with your username and password.
  3. Tap on the name of your school to be taken to your schhol menu..
  4. Tap Admin tab
  5. Tap on School settings Menu.
  6. Tap Staff Roles button.
  7. For each role, select the features they are permitted to access.
  8. Tap Save All Changes button.
  9. Staff may need to Logout And Login again for update to take effect.
    Or wait for 1hr to take effect automatically
How To Setup School Academic Calender.
  1. You must setuo the academic calendar for any attendance related feature to work properly.
  2. Launch the Syllabux app on your device or
    visit www.mysyllabux.com and tap login from the menu.
  3. Tap Proceed as a staff of a school., then login with your username and password.
  4. Tap on the name of your school to be taken to your schhol menu..
  5. Tap Admin tab
  6. Tap on School settings Menu.
  7. TapCalender.
  8. Tap on the days that the school is open to normal pupils. The date should turn to blue.
  9. To Add an event, tap on the event date and Type the event in the box below the Calender.
  10. Tap on the save button when you are done.
How To Setup and Manange Subjects.
  1. Launch the Syllabux app on your device or
    visit www.mysyllabux.com and tap login from the menu.
  2. Tap Proceed as a staff of a school., then login with your username and password.
  3. Tap on the name of your school to be taken to your schhol menu..
  4. Tap Admin tab
  5. Tap on School settings Menu.
  6. Tap Subjects.
  7. Delete Subject that are not offered in your school .
  8. To add Subjects that are offered but not listed, scroll down, type a Subject Name in the field and tap on the Add button.
  9. Tap on Save Changes button to update save the changes.
How To Update Bill Headings.
  1. Bill headings are required for student billing to work properly.
  2. Launch the Syllabux app on your device or
    visit www.mysyllabux.com and tap login from the menu.
  3. Tap Proceed as a staff of a school., then login with your username and password.
  4. Tap on the name of your school to be taken to your schhol menu..
  5. Tap Admin tab
  6. Tap on School settings Menu.
  7. TapUpdate bill Headings .
  8. Edit all possible Headings for forms of payment that the school accepts from pupils and remember to mark compulsory ones as such.
  9. Tap on Add New Heading to add a new bill heading
  10. Tap on save button
How To Update School Information.
  1. Launch the Syllabux app on your device or
    visit www.mysyllabux.com and tap login from the menu.
  2. Tap Proceed as a staff of a school., then login with your username and password.
  3. Tap on the name of your school to be taken to your schhol menu..
  4. Tap Admin tab
  5. Tap on School settings Menu.
  6. TapUpdate School .
  7. Update every information about your School.
  8. Tap on save changes button
  9. Wait for confirmation that School has been updated successfully.
Classroom
How To Create Classrooms.
  1. Launch the Syllabux app on your device or
    visit www.mysyllabux.com and tap login from the menu.
  2. Tap Proceed as a staff of a school., then login with your username and password.
  3. Tap on the name of your school to be taken to your schhol menu..
  4. Select PupilsMenu.
  5. Tap on Classroom Menu Item.
  6. Select Create button.
  7. Fill all the classroom fields.
  8. Tap on save button.
  9. Wait for confirmation that classroom has been created Successfully.
How To Assign Bills To Classrooms.
  1. Launch the Syllabux app on your device or
    visit www.mysyllabux.com and tap login from the menu.
  2. Tap Proceed as a staff of a school., then login with your username and password.
  3. Tap on the name of your school to be taken to your schhol menu..
  4. Select PupilsMenu.
  5. Tap on Classroom Menu Item.
  6. Select the green Edit button beside a classroom.
  7. Check the Assign checkbox beside every bill heading that applies to this classroom.
  8. Tap on Save Changes button at the bottom.
  9. Wait for confirmation that classroom has been updated Successfully.
Pupils
How To Register Pupils.
  1. Launch the Syllabux app on your device or
    visit www.mysyllabux.com and tap login from the menu.
  2. Tap Proceed as a staff of a school., then login with your username and password.
  3. Tap on the name of your school to be taken to your schhol menu..
  4. Select Pupils tab.
  5. Tap on Pupils Menu Item.
  6. Tap on Resgister Pupil button.
  7. Fill all the required registration fields and upload a photo of the pupil.
  8. Tap on Register Pupil button at the bottom of the page to save pupil details.
  9. Wait for confirmation that pupil has been Registered Successfully.
How To Add Parents/Generate parent invite codes.
  1. Launch the Syllabux app on your device or
    visit www.mysyllabux.com and tap login from the menu.
  2. Tap Proceed as a staff of a school., then login with your username and password.
  3. Tap on the name of your school to be taken to your schhol menu..
  4. Select Pupils tab.
  5. Tap on Pupils Menu Item.
  6. Tap on a pupil's name and select the Parent button that corresponds to the pupil.
  7. Type the no of invite codes to create. This is usually 2. i.e 1 invite code per parent.
  8. Tap Create Invite Codes.
  9. Wait for confirsmation that codes has been created Successfully
  10. Tap on the green share button beside each code and share with each parent via WhatApp, SMS, Email e.t.c.
  11. Each invite code can only be used by one parent and will be deleted once successfully used.
How To Generate/Reset Syllabux Codes for all pupils
  1. Launch the Syllabux app on your device or
    visit www.mysyllabux.com and tap login from the menu.
  2. Tap Proceed as a staff of a school., then login with your username and password.
  3. Tap on the name of your school to be taken to your schhol menu..
  4. Select Pupils tab.
  5. Tap on Pupils Menu Item.
  6. Tap on theBlue arrow (More Tasks) button at the top right hand side
  7. Select Reset all students Codes to generate new student codes for all students
  8. Wait for Confirmation that Codes have been sucessfully generated
  9. To View pupils Code: Tap on the pupil's name, select Edit Pupil The pupil's Login code is displayed at the top left hand side
  10. Parents will be able to see their child's login code and setup their child's device with it..
How To Reset Syllabux Code for a single pupil
  1. Launch the Syllabux app on your device or
    visit www.mysyllabux.com and tap login from the menu.
  2. Tap Proceed as a staff of a school., then login with your username and password.
  3. Tap on the name of your school to be taken to your schhol menu..
  4. Select Pupils tab.
  5. Tap on Pupils Menu Item.
  6. Tap on the pupil's name and select Edit Pupil button that corresponds to the pupil.
  7. The pupil"s Login code is displayed at the top left hand side.
  8. Tap on Reset login Code (circular arrow) to the top right of the page
  9. Wait for confirmation.
  10. Parents will be able to see their child's login code and setup their child's device with it..
How To Edit Pupil Profile.
  1. Launch the Syllabux app on your device or
    visit www.mysyllabux.com and tap login from the menu.
  2. Tap Proceed as a staff of a school., then login with your username and password.
  3. Tap on the name of your school to be taken to your schhol menu..
  4. Select Pupils tab.
  5. Tap on Pupils Menu Item.
  6. Tap on the pupil's name and select Edit Pupil button that corresponds to the pupil.
  7. Make any necessary changes to the pupil's Data.
  8. Tap onSave button.
  9. Wait for confirmation that pupil data has successfully been updated

Administration

How To Assign Checkin and Checkout Smart cards to students and employees.
  1. Smart cards are issued by syllabux for speedy and effortless checkin and checkout of students and employees.
  2. Smart cards require the card readers issued by syllabux to work properly.
  3. Launch the Syllabux app on your device or
    visit www.mysyllabux.com and tap login from the menu.
  4. Tap Proceed as a staff of a school., then login with your username and password.
  5. Tap on the name of your school to be taken to your schhol menu..
  6. Tap Admin tab
  7. Tap on School settings Menu.
  8. TapAssign Smart Card .
  9. Connect the Syllabux Card Reader to your device (It works with android smartphones and windows laptop/desktop)
  10. Lightly touch the smartcard against the reader.
  11. Select the pupil or staff you want to Assign the smartcard to.
  12. Tap on Save button.
  13. Wait for Confirmation that card has been assigned to the selected pupil or staff successfully.
  14. Repeat for other pupils and staff.
How To Delete Smart cards.
  1. Deleted smart cards can be reassigned if they are still valid.
  2. Launch the Syllabux app on your device or
    visit www.mysyllabux.com and tap login from the menu.
  3. Tap Proceed as a staff of a school., then login with your username and password.
  4. Tap on the name of your school to be taken to your schhol menu..
  5. Tap Admin tab
  6. Tap on School settings Menu.
  7. TapDelete Smart Cards .
  8. Select the pupils or staff cards that you would want to delete and select a date after the card was assigned. e.g if the card was assigned on 2022-04-29, you may select 2022-04-30 or later. If unsure which date the card was assigned, select today.
  9. Submit and wait for confirmation that cards have been cleared successfully
  10. Tap on cancel to go back to settings
How To Add or Remove Staff from your school.
  1. Launch the Syllabux app on your device or
    visit www.mysyllabux.com and tap login from the menu.
  2. Tap Proceed as a staff of a school., then login with your username and password.
  3. Tap on the name of your school to be taken to your schhol menu..
  4. Tap Admin tab
  5. SelectInvited Staff Menu.
  6. Select a staff role and no of staff that is to be added for that role.
  7. Tap Create Invite Codes.
  8. Wait for confirsmation that codes has been created Successfully
  9. Tap on the green share button beside each code and share with each staff via WhatApp, SMS, Email e.t.c.
  10. Each invite code can only be used by one staff and will be deleted once successfully used.
How To Edit Report Card Templates.
Your school can have a single template for report card or different Templates for different classes.
For convinence and best preview, repot card templates should be edited on bigger devices such as tablets, laptops and desktops,
  1. Launch the Syllabux app on your device or
    visit www.mysyllabux.com and tap login from the menu.
  2. Tap Proceed as a staff of a school., then login with your username and password.
  3. Tap on the name of your school to be taken to your schhol menu..
  4. Tap Admin tab
  5. SelectReport Cards Templates Menu.
  6. Select where to apply the template to e.g a classroom or all classrooms
  7. Under the Academic Section Columns, modify the display title for each column. To prevent a column from dispaying in the report card that this template will apply, clear the display title and leave it blank.
  8. Tap Preview button at any time during the template modification to see what the report card will look like.
  9. Modify the Other Fields section to suit your needs.
  10. TapPreview button to see what the the report card will look like before you save.
  11. Tap Update button.
  12. Wait for confirmation that the template has been successfully updated.
How Create Report Cards.
    Assign a report card template to a class before attempting to create report card for that classroom.
  1. Launch the Syllabux app on your device or
    visit www.mysyllabux.com and tap login from the menu.
  2. Tap Proceed as a staff of a school., then login with your username and password.
  3. Tap on the name of your school to be taken to your schhol menu..
  4. Tap Admin tab
  5. SelectCreate Report Cards Menu.
  6. Fill all the required filleds.
How To Manually Modify Attendance
The need to manually modify a report card may arise if a child was not checkedin or out, ot if a student was checkedin or out at the wrong time thereby making the attendance incorrect.
  1. Launch the Syllabux app on your device or
    visit www.mysyllabux.com and tap login from the menu.
  2. Tap Proceed as a staff of a school., then login with your username and password.
  3. Tap on the name of your school to be taken to your schhol menu..
  4. Tap Admin tab
  5. Select the days with the incorrect attendance on the calendar.
  6. Fill the other fields with the right attendance details and select the affected student.
  7. Tap Submit and wait for confirmation.
How To Check Inactive Pupils.
Inactive pupils are students who have left the school for any reason such as Graduation, expulsion etc.
Such children are not displayed or included in classroom ot inthe list of pupils but you can see them here.
  1. Launch the Syllabux app on your device or
    visit www.mysyllabux.com and tap login from the menu.
  2. Tap Proceed as a staff of a school., then login with your username and password.
  3. Tap on the name of your school to be taken to your schhol menu..
  4. Tap Admin tab
  5. SelectInative Pupils Menu.
  6. You can use the search bar to search for a particular pupil.

Reports

How To View General Reports.
  1. Launch the Syllabux app on your device or
    visit www.mysyllabux.com and tap login from the menu.
  2. Tap Proceed as a staff of a school., then login with your username and password.
  3. Tap on the name of your school to be taken to your schhol menu..
  4. Tap Admin tab
  5. SelectReports Menu.
  6. Select the particular report you wish to see and follow the instruction on that page.
Statistics
Check parent statistics and students that don't yet have parents connected to your school.
  1. Launch the Syllabux app on your device or
    visit www.mysyllabux.com and tap login from the menu.
  2. Tap Proceed as a staff of a school., then login with your username and password.
  3. Tap on the name of your school to be taken to your schhol menu..
  4. Tap Admin tab
  5. SelectReports Menu.
  6. Scroll down and select Parent Statistics Menu.
  7. The first section shows you the age distribution of parents.
    The second section shows you the Gender Distribution of parents.
    The third section contains the Parent List where you'll see every student and all the parents attached to them.
Check students statistics.
  1. Launch the Syllabux app on your device or
    visit www.mysyllabux.com and tap login from the menu.
  2. Tap Proceed as a staff of a school., then login with your username and password.
  3. Tap on the name of your school to be taken to your schhol menu..
